23-year-old model Rosalie Nelson initiated a petition for the creation of a new law to protect women, in particular, models. The girl said that when she came to the modeling agency in London last year, she was told that she was suitable for all parameters except weight. And this is despite the fact that she has size S.
Rosalie then lost another 7 kg, but she was still encouraged to lose weight. And, by the way, this is not the first such case, which advertise the already thin girls who are not taken by modeling agencies. And this, along with the fact that all over the world, models of size plus are now popularized.
19-year-old Agnes Hedengerd was also told that she was too fat for model business.
Rosalie's petition has already collected about 60 thousand signatures. In her, the girl writes: “When I came to one of the largest modeling agencies in London, they told me that I should lose weight. After 4 months, I took off almost 7 kg - minus 5 cm in the hips. When I returned to the same agency, they told me to lose weight, they wanted me to have my bones sticking out. ”
The girl has already refused to do this, and now she is successfully working in other agencies - London-based IMM and German Modelwerk.
By the way, France has already passed a law in defense of young models. There it is already considered a crime to use too thin models in a body mass index less than 18. This is punishable by law in the form of imprisonment up to 6 years.
